Specialized OCD treatment using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) — the gold standard. In-person in metro Atlanta, telehealth available statewide across Georgia.
Common OCD Presentations We Treat
OCD is highly treatable with the right approach — but generic therapy often isn't enough. Our Georgia OCD therapists are trained in ERP, the gold-standard treatment that works where other approaches don't.
How We Treat OCD
The gold standard for OCD. We gradually expose you to fear triggers while preventing compulsions, teaching your brain that anxiety decreases without rituals.
Particularly effective for purely obsessional OCD. Targets the reasoning processes that sustain OCD rather than the feared content itself.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy helps you relate differently to intrusive thoughts — defusing from them rather than fighting or giving in.
SSRIs are first-line medications for OCD. We coordinate with psychiatrists or your prescriber to ensure integrated care when medication is indicated.
Levels of OCD Care Available
We offer the full continuum of outpatient care — from weekly therapy to intensive day programs — so you get the right level of support, not just what fits in a schedule.
Weekly ERP sessions. Best for mild-to-moderate OCD that isn't severely disrupting daily life.
9–15 hrs/week of ERP and CBT. Ideal when OCD is significantly impairing work, school, or relationships.
20–25 hrs/week of intensive ERP for severe OCD requiring daily therapeutic contact.
Coverage
We accept most major insurance plans. OCD is a covered diagnosis — we verify your benefits before your first session so you know exactly what to expect.

Common Questions
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is the gold-standard, most evidence-based treatment for OCD. Studies show 60–80% of people with OCD improve significantly with proper ERP. Generic CBT without the exposure component is significantly less effective.
OCD involves a specific cycle: obsessions (intrusive, unwanted thoughts) trigger anxiety, which drives compulsions (behaviors or mental acts) to reduce anxiety — temporarily. This cycle strengthens OCD over time. ERP targets the compulsion cycle directly.
Yes. OCD is a covered diagnosis. We accept Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Medicaid, and Medicare. ERP therapy sessions are covered as outpatient mental health services.
Yes — ERP is highly effective via telehealth. In fact, for contamination OCD, in-home sessions can be more effective because exposures happen in the real environment where OCD occurs.
Most clients see significant improvement in 12–20 ERP sessions. Severe or long-standing OCD may require a longer course. Our IOP and PHP programs offer accelerated treatment for faster results.
ERP is the most effective treatment for OCD and is recommended by the IOCDF and APA. If your therapist isn't using ERP, it may be worth seeking a therapist with specialized OCD training. Our clinicians are trained specifically in ERP for OCD.
