Getting Started

How do I schedule my first appointment?

You can schedule your first appointment in three ways:

By phone: Call us at (833) 239-8109 during business hours (Mon–Fri 8am–6pm, Sat 9am–2pm EST)

By email: Contact support@trademarktherapy.com and our intake team will reach out within 24 hours

Online: Complete our contact form and we'll schedule you within 1–2 business days

Our intake specialists will help match you with the right clinician for your needs.

What should I expect at my first session?

Your first session typically lasts 50–60 minutes. Here's what to expect:

Intake assessment: We'll gather background information including medical history, current symptoms, and mental health history

Goal setting: Together we'll discuss what brings you in and identify initial treatment goals

Clinical questions: Your clinician will ask detailed questions to understand your situation

Treatment planning: We'll outline an initial treatment approach and discuss frequency of sessions

Your questions: This is a time for you to ask questions and determine if we're a good fit

Do I need a referral to schedule therapy?

No referral is required to schedule individual therapy. You can contact us directly to begin the process.

However, if you're interested in IOP or PHP programs, some insurance plans may require a referral from your primary care physician or psychiatrist. We can help coordinate this if needed.

Our intake team can discuss your specific insurance requirements when you call.

How are sessions scheduled?

Session frequency depends on your clinical needs and goals. Most clients start with weekly sessions, though some may benefit from twice-weekly or bi-weekly schedules.

During your first appointment, you and your clinician will agree on a schedule. This can be adjusted as your needs change throughout treatment.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes for individual therapy.

Programs & Treatment

What's the difference between IOP and PHP?

Intensive Outpatient (IOP): 9–19 hours per week of structured group therapy, typically in evenings. Good for moderate symptoms while maintaining work/school.

Partial Hospitalization (PHP): 20+ hours per week of intensive treatment during daytime hours. More intensive than IOP, stepping down toward discharge.

Both programs include individual therapy, psychiatry, and group therapy. Your treatment team will recommend which level matches your current needs.

Do you provide medication management?

Yes. We have psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners on staff who specialize in medication evaluation and management.

Medication management can be combined with individual therapy. Our clinical team will discuss whether medication might be helpful as part of your treatment plan.

Do you treat substance use disorders?

Yes. We specialize in evidence-based substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. Services include individual therapy, group therapy, medication-assisted treatment, and specialized IOP/PHP programs.

Our team is trained in motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy for addiction, and other evidence-based approaches.

Insurance & Cost

What insurance plans do you accept?

We work with many major insurance plans. To verify your specific coverage, please call us at (833) 239-8109.

For detailed information about participating insurance networks, visit our Insurance page.

If you have questions about your coverage, our billing team can help clarify benefits before your first appointment.

What if I don't have insurance?

We offer out-of-pocket rates for uninsured clients. Cost depends on the type of service and clinician.

We also offer sliding scale fees based on income for those who qualify. Contact our billing department at (833) 239-8109 to discuss payment options that work for your budget.

What are typical costs and copays?

Costs vary based on your insurance plan and the service type. With insurance, you typically pay a copay per session (usually $15–$50 depending on your plan).

Your deductible and out-of-pocket maximum also apply. For exact figures, check your insurance card or call your insurance company.

For out-of-pocket therapy, rates range from $75–$150+ per session depending on the clinician and service level.

Do you submit insurance claims?

Yes, we submit insurance claims directly to your insurance company. You'll receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) showing what your insurance paid and what you owe.

We handle all billing details so you can focus on your treatment. If you have questions about your bill, our billing team is happy to help.

Telehealth

Do you offer telehealth / virtual appointments?

Yes. We offer secure telehealth appointments throughout Georgia. Virtual therapy is available for individual therapy, psychiatry appointments, and some program services.

Telehealth sessions provide the same quality of clinical care as in-person appointments. We use HIPAA-compliant video platforms to ensure your privacy and security.

Telehealth works great for busy schedules, mobility issues, or if you prefer to access care from home.

Is telehealth as effective as in-person therapy?

For most conditions and most clients, yes — the research shows telehealth is clinically equivalent to in-person care. It also removes significant access barriers: no commute, no waiting room, no scheduling around a two-hour drive.

We offer both and can help you determine which is the better fit for what you're working through.

Can I use insurance for telehealth sessions?

Yes. Georgia insurance plans are required to cover telehealth at the same level as in-person care. Your copay is the same whether you come in or log on.

This applies to commercial plans, Medicaid, and Medicare — all of which we accept.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Is my information confidential?

Yes. We strictly adhere to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations. All clinical information is kept confidential and secure.

Your therapist cannot share information with anyone without your written consent, with limited exceptions:

Exceptions: Immediate danger to yourself or others, suspected child/elder abuse, court order, or emergency medical situations.

Your privacy is a top priority in our practice.

Can I access my medical records?

Yes. You have the right to request and receive a copy of your medical records. Submit a written request to our office and we'll provide records within 10 business days as required by HIPAA.

Therapist notes and treatment summaries are included. There may be a minimal copying fee.

How do you protect my privacy online?

We use secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms for all electronic communications and telehealth sessions. Our systems include:

– Encrypted video conferencing
– Secure messaging with automatic logoff
– Protected health information storage
– Regular security audits

Your clinical information is never stored on personal devices unless explicitly authorized.

Will my therapy be reported to my employer?

No. Your therapy is confidential and will not be reported to your employer unless you specifically authorize it.

Your insurance company may receive basic information for billing purposes (that you received treatment, dates of service), but not clinical details about what you discussed.

If you need a letter for work (such as FMLA paperwork), we can provide it only with your written consent.

About TTS

What does Joint Commission accreditation mean?

The Joint Commission is an independent, nonprofit organization that accredits and certifies healthcare organizations. Accreditation means our clinical practices, safety protocols, and client experience have been reviewed against national standards — by someone other than us.

We pursued accreditation because our clients deserve that accountability. It's not a trophy. It's an ongoing commitment that shows up in how we operate every day.

Where are you located? Do you serve my area?

Our in-person locations serve metro Atlanta and surrounding communities. Our telehealth services are available statewide across all 159 Georgia counties.

If you're not sure whether we serve your area, call us at (833) 239-8109 or send a message — we'll let you know what's available for your location.

What should I do if I'm in crisis?

If you're having thoughts of suicide or self-harm:

Call or text 988 — Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (available 24/7)
Call 911 — For immediate emergency help
Go to your nearest ER

These services are free and confidential. Please reach out immediately if you're in crisis.

What if I don't connect with my therapist?

Tell us. The fit between you and your clinician is the most important variable in therapy outcomes, and we'd rather rematch you quickly than watch a good candidate for progress stay in a relationship that isn't working.

No awkwardness, no judgment, no extra fees, and you don't start from zero. We'll transition you to a better match.
